Each Member had a set of instructions and one hour to shoot their images, then choose six to show the rest of the group. Some exercises required a tripod or DSLR Camera, others could be for either DSLR or Mobile Phone. Click on an image to view it properly.


Carol: Find a suitable location and take photos that show abstract impressions. (DSLR)

Desley: Find a suitable location and take photos that show negative space. (DSLR)

Fran: Find a suitable location and take photos that show contrasting textures. (DSLR)


Jill: Find a suitable location and take photos that show two different exposures of the same scene.  (DSLR)

John B: Find a suitable location and take photos that show very small objects close up. (Phone Cam)

Julie: Find a suitable location and take photos that show contrasting colours.  (DSLR)

Kevin: Find a suitable location and take photos that show PEOPLE somewhere in the shot. (DSLR)

Laura: Find a suitable location and take photos that show contrasting light and shadows. (Phone Cam)

Mick: Find a lit shop window that you like. Take an establishing shot of the window (that means a wide angle shot showing most of the window).  Then take a variety of shots of objects that are in that one window. It might be one object. It might be several objects. (DSLR)

Nigel: Find a suitable location and take photos that show perspective and/or converging lines.  (DSLR)

Tony: Find a suitable location, and take lots of intentional camera movement shots. ​Choose 6 to show. DSLR
